St Patrick's Day Parade and Festival

14th March 2010 - Piccadilly, Trafalgar Square & surrounding area

Trafalgar Square hosts a huge festival on St Patrick's Day - over 100,000 attended last year.

The parade starts at Piccadilly at 12 noon and moves off along Lower Regent Street, Pall Mall East, Trafalgar Square and Whitehall before dispersing on Whitehall Place.

This free family day out is a fun way to experience all things Irish: food, dance, crafts, culture and music.

West End LIVE 2010

Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th June 2010 - Leicester Square

Following on from the huge success achieved at The Visit London Awards 2009 which saw West End LIVE crowned ‘Best Live Music Event’ in the People’s Choice Category and the recipient of the Bronze Award for ‘Consumer Event of The Year’, we are delighted to announce that West End LIVE 2010 will be taking place on Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th June.  Details of performances will be announced shortly.

West End LIVE, the world’s largest free theatre festival, was a huge success in 2009 - with more than 250,000 people visiting Leicester Square over the weekend of June 20th – 21st.  As ever, entry to the event and all the activites was free.

Highlights included performances by talk-show host Jerry Springer in his debut West End role as razzmatazz lawyer Billy Flynn in the hit show Chicago and the BBC’s I’d Do Anything winner Jodie Prenger, performed as Nancy in Lionel Barts classic Oliver!

Crowds also saw great performances from Jersey Boys, Wicked, We Will Rock You, Dirty Dancing, Avenue Q, Thriller, Stomp, Priscilla Queen of the Desert, and Sister Act.
