Heart of London Appoints New Board Members

The Heart of London Business Alliance has appointed four of the area’s key business leaders to its Board of Directors.

The new additions are James Cooksey, Head of Urban Asset Management at The Crown Estate, Tessa Street, General Manager of the Odeon Cinema in Leicester Square, Emma Hammond, Senior Real Estate Portfolio Manager for McKinsey’s and Edward Green, Asset Manager at Land Securities PLC.

James Cooksey joined The Crown Estate in March 2009 and heads up a team responsible for the organisation’s central London portfolio (excluding Regent Street) and its diversification portfolio. Within the Heart of London BID area, The Crown Estate is freeholder of the Criterion Block at Piccadilly Circus and owns properties on Haymarket, Pall Mall and Jermyn Street.

Tessa Street has worked for Odeon Cinemas for 13 years. Tessa brings extensive experience from the entertainment sector to the Board. The Odeon Leicester Square is one of the UK’s most well known entertainment venues, playing host to World, Royal and Gala Premieres.

As a Senior Real Estate Portfolio Manager of a global management consultancy, with its UK headquarters situated within the Heart of London, Emma Hammond is keen to get involved with the Alliance to ensure the views of major employers and occupiers of office space are represented.

Edward Green is responsible for the asset management of Land Securities PLC’s mixed use portfolio in the West End, Victoria and Paddington. Edward is keen to work with the Heart of London Business Alliance to improve properties through better management and refurbishment helping to contribute to the further regeneration of the area.

The Heart of London Business Alliance acts on behalf of businesses and property owners in the area surrounding world famous landmarks Piccadilly Circus and Leicester Square. The board of directors help to lead and guide the work of the organisation, providing valuable insights into the business sectors within the area.
